3 fall outfit must haves for looking chic

today I’m sharing my 3 outfit must haves for looking chic this fall …

1 – cozy neutral sweaters

staying with a neutral color palette, you’ll always look pulled together and chic, a quick tip is if you’re wanting to look expensive – it’s to buy your item in a neutral color – a tan, black, gray, cream, white, etc.

neutrals are timeless and if the design and texture is on the basic side one may never know what brand you’re wearing or how much money it cost, a top from Forever 21 that cost less than $10 can look just as nice as a $100 top if it’s in a neutral and the fit is right. Bohme has a huge selection of sweaters all at a variety of price points.

here are a few neutral tops I’m crushing on right now …

2 – luxe accessories

adding the right accessories to an outfit can be tricky .. ‘how do I layer my necklaces?’ ‘which bag do I wear with this dress?’ etc. the questions can really deter from wanting to wear something in our wardrobe if we don’t know how to style it.

my best practice for this is to wear simple, yet statement pieces of jewelry. I love wearing a watch, or my alex and ani bangles. I also always buy simple statement or detailed gold earrings and gold necklaces. silver or rose gold are beautiful too – my esthetic is to wear gold and I feel that for most outfits, gold is very complimentary.

I’m not totally a tote bag girl, but a bigger statement bag will always be a classic piece for most any woman in her day to day life. I love mine as a diaper bag – it looks fabulous but also holds a ton and I can stay organized!

here are my top picks for jewelry and bags …

3 – pointed toe booties

I’ve always been drawn to pointed toe shoes, from flats to heels, if I can help it – I’ll buy and wear the pointed toe over a round toe. it may be because I’m short, but when the toe is elongated you can actually help your legs look longer! who doesn’t want that?!

the booties I’m wearing today have a block heel which make them really easy to walk in (which is really important to me!) if I can’t wear a shoe for hours and be comfortable then I don’t want them lol especially chasing kids around – I need a shoe that is functional AND fashionable!

block heels and pointed toes are right on trend so there are a lot of cute options out there …

sweater c/o Bohme .. booties from Bohme too

I’ve been really inspired lately with my outfits and I just love how easy neutrals are to pair together, and I love layering and getting dressed up for the holiday festivities!

I hope you’re enjoying your Thanksgiving week! thank you for reading my friends!

xo, Jensyn
