nyfw – plaid + floral

plaid and floral prints are ALL about this fall season! plaid in this outfit acts as the neutral between the two. the plaid print is much more muted and even though it’s a ‘large scale’ the colors blend well and the floral top becomes the star here. you could do the opposite though and have a bold plaid pattern and a more subtle floral and that would be gorgeous too – it’s ALL about what you love!Β

I had fun pairing this loose blouse with the paper bag skirt, the waist really cinched in and I definitely had an hourglass figure lol enough to make me feel a tad selfΒ conscious because my bum was looking ‘extra’ curvy – something I’m not used to because I’m always such a straight/no curves kind of lady.Β

pairing the blues together in this look was really fun too, I absolutely love wearing blue. it’s probably my eyes, hair and skin but blue has always been a color that other people say makes me light up and my eyes look so alive when I wear it. when I saw this blue Coach bag, I just knew I had to have it. most of my handbags are shades of pink or coral, and honestly I was in need of a different tune for fall this year. I love the blue shade and am excited for how ‘neutral’ it’s going to be against all the fall colors, like mustard, olive, burgundy and cream. wow. just writing that I’m getting pumped to layer and wear ‘all the fall things’.

thanks for reading friends! I hope you’ve had a good week so far, I’ve had a lot to do lately, but I’m slowly but surely getting all my NYFW looks on the blog. if there is anythingΒ specific you’d like me to talk about for fall – let me know! I’m happy to take suggestions!
