do you have a go-to recipe for chocolate chip cookies??? I love that the colorful spring M&M’s make this festive for Easter – but you could add in Cadbury eggs too (totally trying that soon!) and any other color combination – for ANY time of year or occasion to make these cookies festive! try our homemade sugar cookies here

original recipe found on dessertnowdinnerlater

here’s the written recipe for the best, easy M&M’s chocolate chip cookies

recipe

1 cup butter (room temp)

1 cup brown sugar (packed)

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 Tbsp vanilla extract

3 1/4 cup all purpose flour (stir, spoon + level)

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

1 cup chocolate chips

1 1/2 cups M&M’s candies (divided)

instructions

preheat oven to 350 degrees F

line cookie sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mat – I used a stone sheet for mine

in the bowl of your mixer – combine the butter and both sugars – cream until light and fluffy – add eggs + vanilla – mix well and scrape bowl with spatula

in a separate bowl, stir flour, salt and baking soda. add dry ingredients to butter mixture until just combined

add choc chips and 1/2 cup of M&M’s – mix on low speed

scoop cookie dough balls (about 2 Tbsp each) and place onto prepared cookie sheets

-fit about 8 cookies per tray

generously press M&M’s into the tops of each cookie ball – maintain the round shape

bake at 350 degrees F for

8-10 minutes until edges are barely starting to brown

allow to cool 1-2 minutes on tray, then transfer to wire cooling racks to cool completely

we like our cookies a little on the gooey side so we didn’t cook ours as long and I took them off the cookie sheet and onto the cooling rack after about 1 minute

our family was obsessed with these and I couldn’t stop eating them lol I hope you enjoy! have a wonderful Easter weekend!
