styling a floral dress – 2 ways
styling a floral dress for spring in 2 ways! I love wearing pieces in my wardrobe in a variety of ways and often challenge myself to create new and unique outfits utilizing my clothes and accessories.
today’s 2 looks are all about this floral dress. I actually bought this dress a couple summers ago and haven’t ever regretted splurging for it. I knew the moment I saw it in store that I HAD to have it. I waited a while, kept thinking about it and when it went on sale I bought it right away! I feel it expresses so much of my personal style in one unique piece – and every time I put it on I feel AMAZING. check out how I styled this floral dress in previous posts here and here.
the first look is something a little more casual .. a striped tee, knotted over the dress (accentuating my bump) but also helps create a silhouette and gives the illusion that this dress is actually a skirt – which is SO fun to switch things up in your wardrobe!
I paired it with a sandal in a bright color and of course added my favorite summer hat because .. duh. it’s cute! I have been living in this hat and have been styling it every way I can!
the second look is a more dressed up outfit, I thought the blazer brought in a fun pop of color and sophistication. while the taupe booties kept me comfortable and style wise were a little unexpected. I love when I see women wearing sneakers with dresses, but I just haven’t found a sneaker that suits me .. so I went with booties instead! and I love how it all turned out!
these pictures were obviously taken before I had Laci, and it already feels like they were done so long ago. I can’t believe tomorrow marks two weeks since Laci joined our family. it feels surreal and also like she’s been with us for so long. our routine has stayed pretty chill but I’ve got to start getting back into ‘real life’ and we have appointments and places to be – so we’ll see if we venture out anywhere. lol three under four sounds so scary! haha wish us luck and any prayers are welcome too!
