pink stairs + last minute Valentine's Day gift ideas

exploring in Salt Lake City, Utah is so much fun and my husband and I have been scouting out some of the cutest spots for pictures! I fell in love with this gorgeous ‘mountain’ scene on these stairs at the Gateway mall.

I am always up for a pop of color, and where my outfit is neutral – I figured this would be the perfect location for this look! and I’m so impressed, I’ll definitely be back here for pictures again!

I feel like Valentine’s Day has snuck up on me this year .. I haven’t been as prepared with a lot of holiday or festive outfits or posts.

Valentine’s Day isn’t a holiday that my husband and I go all out for – he’s not really the ‘romantic’ type and I try to make the day special but usually it just feels like a normal day. which is okay too! he’s so sweet on February 14th and all the other days and for me, we both feel loved and that’s what matters.

for our daughters we’re thinking of doing little baskets that they’ll wake up to and I’ll have them set up on the kitchen table. I’ll have a few balloons and flowers set up too. for gifts … we’re thinking of doing a book, maybe an outfit, and stickers or a little toy. nothing really expensive or crazy fancy – but just a little something fun for the holiday. what do you do for your kids???
