one of the most troubling decisions is how to pattern mix, for some, they don’t believe in mixing colors or prints but for me I’m all for it. so much so that most days it appears that I don’t even match. today’s outfit is a bit simpler with the color pallet and the patterns are bold yet common patterns. stripes and gingham, being the two main patterns. I recommend not mixing more than 3 prints in one look. I have the ocelot (animal print) on a bag scarf on my bag, allowing for this third print to be in the mix.
I love stripes and navy and cream act as neutrals in this look, the pink gingham pops because of it’s color and the print is a lot smaller in size compared to the stripes in the vest, providing balance. I also layered my button up with a solid cardigan breaking up the patterns so they aren’t laying right next to each other, this cream cardigan also brings in a common color between the two main prints.
it looks cohesive π gray and black are neutrals so they can be interchangeably mixed in to any look
