nyfw – edgy fall dress
every yearΒ when fall rolls around, I reach for pieces that are edgier and that evoke the ‘cool girl vibe’ more so than my typical feminine looks. this Rachel Parcell dress is a literal dream. it’s absolutely STUNNING and I definitely want to add the mauve version to my collection as well. it’s no surprise I want the pink one, (I’m always buying pink) so choosing this deep teal was a step outside of my comfort zone.Β I have blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin .. for as long as I can remember I’ve gravitated towards blues and greens and grays, they are flattering and I honestly own more of those colors than I do of pink in my wardrobe. Β
is there a color that you know flatters you???
the Rachel Parcell team was so kind to gift the Monaco dress in Sapphire to me, and I am in love with all their new pieces. I’ve been a Rach Parcell fan and have followed Rach’s blog Pink Peonies for over 5 years. It was a dream come true to work with them for Fashion Week. this dress is perfection for anyone! the Monaco dress is a style that is great for work, date nights, weddings, parties, church .. etc. the ruffle sleeve and sleek body con fit is flattering and would work on everyone.Β
I knew I wanted to style this Rachel Parcell dress in a more unique way for fashion week (I loved it with black faux leather booties and a coordinating blue bag), but you can bet for church and date nights I’ll be throwing on my nude high heels andΒ accessorizing with different bags and jewelry.
what I love about a versatile, simple dress like this is the fact that it’s so universal. the silhouette of the Monaco isΒ classic and the length isΒ appropriate for a multitude ofΒ occasions. (it’d be a gorgeous dress to wear to a wedding, OR if you’re IN a wedding as a bridesmaid! hint, hint, for all the brides to be!)
