dressing up with my girls in mommy + me matching outfits are my favorite! I love that they ‘typically’ enjoy getting their photos taken and that I can cherish these fun memories with my daughters. Navi and I put together a fun look with items we had in our closets that matched together – here is our mommy + me matching outfit inspiration post!

the most fun thing about coordinating and matching with my girls is that we don’t have to own the ‘exact’ item for us to feel like we’ve accomplished the look. her blouse has embroidered flowers and mine is plain – her hat is pink and mine is burgundy .. yet we still feel coordinated and adorable matching together!

I think as a mom I notice if things are not ‘perfect’ and I can get easily bothered – but I’m learning as I go that my kids don’t care if it’s ‘perfect’ they enjoy having fun and love the experiences. I’m applying this to my day to day too – if I would just stop stressing and pause for a moment and look at the situation – I’d know just the things that I can control and work on having a more positive attitude and count my blessings.

a lot of the pieces in Navi and I’s outfits are old, but I’ll link similar if I can – my necklace and her necklace are both Kendra Scott and I love that they feature the same stone in two different necklace styles. Navi loves wearing my jewelry, so it was the best to feature pieces that we could coordinate in.

shopping tips

something I do when I’m shopping for clothes for the girls, is look for color schemes that I personally own/wear – lucky for me my daughters’ love pinks, blues and yellows (just like me!) so it’s easy to purchase clothes that I know will coordinate with things I own too.

I look for silhouettes and styles that don’t feature anything too trendy or that have characters or pictures. solids or patterns typically can mix and match with everything and are versatile – giving you more wear for your money!
