a little lace black dress and a little red lip .. looks like a dream Christmas combination to me! 

from having to wear a black uniform for over 5 years for work I have tried to stay far away from anything black! but this dress guys … I just HAD to make an exception! it’s so pretty and I love the silhouette and lace. this dress is a classic piece that is perfect for a variety of occasions. 

I found such a pretty red lipstick – Avon in ‘holly red‘

we took these pictures before we got our snow! so the leaves are currently nowhere in sight! 

I’m not the biggest fan of snow (just because driving in it can be scary) but I do think it’s so beautiful. besides how cold it’s going to be for the next few months lol get ready for a lot of pictures of coats and boots. when you get dressed up to go out in winter, do you wear tights, boots or do you grin and bare it 😉 I love the way a nude heel elevates any outfit. my heels are Charles David and they are one of my favorite styles ..

recently I tried on a pair of Sam Edelman heels in the ‘Hazel’ style and FELL IN LOVE. they fit beautifully – literally did NOT slide off the back of my heel, they hug so perfectly. I wasn’t too fond of the color selection at my local nordstrom, but online there are a bunch of pretty options. I think I’ll splurge and get myself a pair. the question is, which color??

I got so many compliments on instagram when I shared a picture of my hair in this hairstyle and I just wanted to say THANK YOU. seriously you guys are too kind. this look is something I do when I want my hair out of my face, but don’t want it completely up – it’s so simple but it does the job lol. I often leave my hair in curls from the previous day and just do this for a ‘fresh’ style. I like having slightly ‘messy’ curls or ‘bedhead’ hair. just add a pretty dress, red lipstick and fun jewelry and you’re holiday party ready!
