flowers + dressing the bump (my #1 pregnancy splurge – maternity denim)
even 8 months pregnant I was decked head to toe in flowers – I just can’t get enough. I mix and match floral prints all day long, with everything! maternity clothes were also a must for me towards the end of my pregnancy (couldn’t get away with the hair tie/button trick anymore) so I tried maternity jeans and they were fabulous! SO dang comfortable!! SO worth it!
I seriously regret not buying maternity denim for my first pregnancy – because I could’ve been using them this whole time lol but oh well. you live and learn .. because I was so late to the game, I only got to enjoy these pants for a couple of months, but they definitely made getting dressed easier.
I felt like I had to get super creative with my outfits this pregnancy. I did a lot of layering, and accessorized a bunch. I wanted to feel pretty and put together. fun tee shirts and either jeans or leggings consumed my wardrobe. I get so many compliments when I wear this floral tee featured in today’s post. it’s a fun find from Jane.com and they bring it back to the site quite often, be checking for it! (I’m wearing a medium).
here are a few maternity denim options at a variety of price points!
it’s been 3 weeks since I had Laci, and we are getting into a good routine around here. I’m feeling more confident and brave heading out of the house with my three kids (even if it is just to Dr appointments and to the Wendy’s drive thru lol) I know with time it’ll get easier. especially since my 18 month old doesn’t quite listen that well yet.
Laci is truly adored and her older sisters can’t get enough of her. we have to keep an extra close eye though, because they all want to hold her and love her (they just don’t know when the loves they’re giving are a little much) haha!
I’ve had some opportunities to get out of the house and do things I enjoy, so it’s been nice. I haven’t been putting too much pressure into cleaning, cooking, etc. I honestly just do what I can and have to make various things priorities and some things sacrifice a bit. it’s a balancing act that I’m learning (again). but it’s all worth it and it’s been so fun to snuggle a new baby. I was actually kind of a grouch towards the end of my pregnancy and I know my hormones and emotions were wacky so I’m happy to be feeling more like myself, I truly feel so happy.
