casual thanksgiving outfit inspiration
hey there! back at ya – with a casual Thanksgiving outfit, if you read earlier this week – I shared a dressier outfit in this post.Β
I like the idea of being more casual on Thanksgiving, but not to the point of being in sweats and an oversized tee shirt (I should spare all my extended family from seeing me like that lol) I think being a little dressed up wearing a sweater with jewelry and cute shoes, pull the look together without straight up wearing a dress for the occasion (if a dress isn’t your thing).
I paired this fun sweater (similar here) with coordinating booties, but you could easily swap the booties out for a festive ballet flat or sparkly heels or over the knee boots – really anything goes and that’s what I love about a neutral top and jeans, you can have SO MUCH FUN accessorizing!Β
for my hair I kept it easy with a high pony tail and that same adorable velvet bowΒ scrunchieΒ from yesterday’s post – I can’t get enough of the velvet texture and it’s pretty for a pop of color. the hair scrunchie acts as an accessory instead of using any old hair tie. (my tip for wearing a scrunchie though, is that you do tie off your hair with an elastic first. then once it’s secure place the scrunchie over it – this will ensure it stays in place)
we have the biggest leaf piles in our yard so I decided to capture some of that fallΒ magic in pictures. it’s been scarce getting blogposts and pictures done around here and I apologize for that – if you read my update a few weeks ago you’d remember that my husband’s work schedule has changed and life has beenΒ crazy! and with daylight savings’ it’s getting dark around 4:30 pm! AHH! THANK YOU for sticking around even when posts were far and in between – I’m hoping we are finding a groove and can get myΒ posts to have a regular schedule again.Β
my embroidered sweater is unfortunately no longer available,Β I bought it last year ..Β BUT I linked a bunch of absolutely adorable ones below – YAY!Β
what’re your favorite foods on Thanksgiving??Β
I’m ALL about the butter and rolls! I even put my potatoes and turkey on my rolls and eat it like a bit sandwich! fruit salad is amazing too – my mom always makes it but I won’t be having Thanksgiving with them this year .. so I’ll miss that, unless maybe I make it?? hmm.. maybe I should? lol do you contribute and make a dish? let me know in the comments!Β
thank you for reading!
I hope you have a fabulous holiday next week! let me know if you’ll be wearing something similar to the dressy look I shared or this casual one …Β and happy outfit planning!!Β
