spring trend : the trench coat

I’m starting a new series featuring popular trends and right now we’re focusing on this spring trend : the trench coat

I’ve wanted a trench coat for YEARS. literally years. and I just didn’t buy one because I thought I wanted a Burberry trench coat (which I still do) but they’re also about $2,000 and honestly if I had saved up my money, I’d very likely have one already but I just haven’t saved and I can’t justify that amount of money for a jacket. so when I found this gorgeous Rachel Parcell trench in this incredible pink shade – I knew NOW was the time for me to get a trench coat. (plus it’s on an incredible sale!)

trench coats are wardrobe staples, they’re classic and really never go out of style. however! they’re particularly trendy this season! so if you’re like me and you’ve waited – 2020 is the year to get a trench coat! if pink isn’t your thing – don’t worry I’ll link a bunch of pretty ones, my exact coat also comes in a neutral stone color.

I love wearing white jeans in the spring and while my exact pair is sold out, I’ll share a few similar ones below. I love the cut off hem and that the fit isn’t totally skinny. I usually love skinny fit denim but I’m branching out and trying new things and one of those new things is wider leg denim.

what are you trying this year in fashion that is new for you??

seeing the trees in bloom in our neighborhood just makes me SO happy. I’ve been wanting to stop at nearly EVERY tree just to snap a few pictures.

spring is the prettiest time of year and so bare with me as I know more blossom photoshoots will be coming lol

I haven’t been getting too dressed up lately, mostly jeans and a tee with slip on shoes .. so to throw on earrings and heels was a blast (even if it was just for a few pictures!) I’m excited to one day go out with my husband on a date. I love dressing up and have fun putting together new outfits. I know styling this trench coat will be something I play with all season.

I love that trench coats are trendy right now and I can’t wait to share more fun trends with you as spring and summer come!
