.pink, white and studded.
I’m gravitating this year towards keeping my style more bold. I like striking colors, and prints and things that really make a statement. I don’t want to look ‘busy’ – I want streamline and simple. I think there is power in simplicity.
I’m really excited today about this outfit, I wore it a few weeks ago for church and just couldn’t get it out of my head .. I LOVE the hot pink with the white lace – what a combination! it’s so fresh and fun and I can’t wait to style more white as we’re coming into spring and summer!
now, on to the shoes 😉
these babies were my Christmas present and I am obsessed with them. Valentino rockstud heels are so iconic in the blogging world and I just knew that if I were to have a designer shoe – these needed to be the first pair. the color is ‘poudre’ which means powder, they’re the prettiest mauve/taupe (on me, darker skin tones they’ll appear more nude – but I’m so fair skinned that they look so much darker) of course I got them for a DEAL because you know me and not wanting to pay full price 😉 even on designer stuff – I used the site Rue La La (join here https://www.ruelala.com/invite/stripesinbloom) which is a flash sale site meaning that they offer new deals everyday and their sales change about every 3 days. some websites offer deals on designers like Valentino but they’re usually the older ‘trendier’ colors and I knew I wanted a neutral pair. Finding them on sale was seriously a dream! I’ve worn them only a couple of times, out to dinner and to church and I’m so excited to style them in countless ways! I’ve been eyeing pinterest for outfit inspiration and love them with jeans! 🙂 you’ll be seeing a lot of them this year .. sorry, not sorry 😉
I love that the Valentino’s I chose are the kitten heel, making them much more practical for daily wear. 🙂 I knew if I chose the higher heel, I wouldn’t’ve worn them as often. selecting the neutral shade also makes them transition to pair with ANY outfit – literally any. I’m so happy they can be dressed up or dressed down with jeans.
this blazer I bought last year at J.Crew but I paid FULL PRICE! I about died, but then it sold out so quickly, so I never looked back! I LOVE wearing it and I feel like it’s so perfect for my style and my wardrobe. every wardrobe needs that one statement piece that can be paired with any look, and in my closet, this blazer is that statement. hot pink isn’t a typical blazer color 😉 but for me, being my favorite color, pink was the obvious choice.
